Happy Easter (14) Quatorze
March 31, 2024
Hello to all! We are hoping that you have/had a special Easter!
We started our day a little later than normal! I launched out of bed when I saw the time!! I hadn’t realized that March 31st is a time change in France. Oops! ((Dinner was still ready on time :))) Easter morning was sunny! Now the clouds are moving in..but at least we saw a little of the sun!! We listened to the Guntersville Youth Easter Program for our service this morning. ( Thanks for sending it to us, Dave! ) It was very inspiring and they did a really good job. I was glad I had saved it for Easter morning.
I had searched the markets for a ham to bake..but no such luck! However, I did find pork tenderloins so I roasted those with fresh garlic and rosemary and some sauteed green beans! Sterling mashed potatoes while Bella beat the cream for some strawberry shortcake. I wonder what all of our friends and family are feasting on today?! What does it matter what food we eat if we are eating it with the people we love most, right? :) I hope that we can all have a special appreciation today for the many blessings that we have this Easter season…family, friends, freedom to believe and practice our faith without persecution… and most of all the great sacrifice that was made for us through Jesus dying on the cross.
I would say so far Easter has been the most celebrated holiday in France. I thought you might find that interesting. Tonight we plan on listening to Ash's wedding service at Guntersville. Wishing them a lovely wedding day!
The last few weeks we have been busy with our classes. Also, I have made a friend at the Pharmacy and I go chat with her now and again. She is very nice and lives not far from us. Maybe soon I will pluck the courage to ask her over for coffee. :) Tyson has a new box of tracts coming in soon that we will need to get ready to put out! He has also been making phone calls to set up meetings with contacts in southern France..we will be heading out to make those visits soon. So, our next few weeks will be quite busy! We will look forward to telling you about them in the near future..Just wanted to drop a line and say Blessed Easter to you all!
