This week has been a rainy, rainy week. Usually a little bit of sun each day….now towards the end of the week solid rain..
Tyson mentioned checking out our next Airbnb…after that we took a grocery run.
We stopped at MATCH supermarche. Something I was not used to, is that you have to look on the label above the produce items to see if the item you want is sold by the ¨piece¨ or if you must weigh it. There are several scales throughout the produce section and so I took my onions to be weighed. On the screen you tap the button for onion and then it shoots you out a little white sticker with a barcode and weight. You slap it on the side of your bag and go on with your shopping. Whilst I was in the middle of weighing a cabbage I started a conversation with an older gentleman. I would say a grandpa. He was very friendly and wanted to know where I was from. I told him, and he asked if I was an artist!! (don´t laugh!! Lol) I told him no, I was a missionary and we talked for a while about the U.S. Apparently he has traveled all over the U.S. He wanted to know what church I was affiliated with and he had never heard of it before. Before we parted he said ¨You pray for me and I pray for you!¨It was a good encounter. I had wished for some tracts to give him, but we are still getting equipped. I hope I will see him again, but it's a big town.
On Thursday afternoon we took a drive to see the flooding that is happening because of all of this rain. We found ourselves up near Mont Noir. It was a very pretty drive. Very green for how cold it is. I guess it still shocks me! Anyway, as we were on one winding road up near Mont Noir (black mountain) we saw a World War 2 Bunker on the side of the road. We quickly pulled aside. That Bunkers name was Ermitage Sud…I ll leave a link below and you can read the sign I read ..(luckily you wont be cold and wet like i was ha!) Sterling was ready to get out of there after a little bit because he noticed there was a tent inside! I went around the corner and BEHOLD! there was!! and a pair of shoes outside of it! We scuttled on after that..

Like Tyson said, it has been a lot of settling in. After devotions every morning… I get the children going on their school work. I tidy up, do some laundry..have devotions..and do language study until 10! RECESS FOR ALL! I take a walk around the Parc Clemenceau if it is nice, and if it is not…sometimes I do it anyway with an umbrella! Then back to language study! All have been fairly healthy..Tyson and i had a bit of a sore throat for a few days but Bella has had that and fever and headaches. She is on the mend! I appreciate all the messaages I have received, it helps me when the gray grisly weather gets at me! -L-
